TRANS HD SERIES are designed for use in a wide variety of manual gear applications, including synchromesh, fitted to automotive and commercial vehicles. TRANS HD SERIES are used for spiral bevel axles under moderate/severe conditions of speed/load and hypoid gears under various speed/load conditions. TRANS HD SERIES are suitable for use in trans-axles, transfer boxes, axles, swivel pin housings, reduction hubs, oil-lubricated bearings, hoist/winch gearboxes, slew gearboxes, chain drives, track drives, track rollers, and idlers where the OEMs specifying GL-5 oil. Please note that SAEs 80/90/80W90/85W90 are the most preferable viscosity grades for front gearboxes while SAEs 140/80W140/85W140 are the most preferable viscosity grades for rear axles and differentials.
